In the wake of the Impressionists, Jules René Hervé was used to painting the City of Light at the start of the 20th century. His paintings are present in public collections: Art of Institute of Chicago, Museum of Fine Arts of Tourcoing or the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne.
