Seduced by this art of a distant imagination that combines drawing, engraving and superposition of colours, Rozalia Rémy collects Japanese prints since the age of 18. After a career in the world of publishing, she opened Rozali’Art Gallery in 2010 and moved to the Marché Dauphine. Her favorites reflect the stylistic richness and iconographic evolution from the 18th century to the present day: once equivalent to the advertising or “propaganda” poster, the Japanese print has completely freed itself from it in the take advantage, for example, of atmospheres close to the manga, of landscapes in the spirit of Largo Winch!

Rozalia Rémy travels several times a year to the Land of the Rising Sun to meet artists, publishers and also to discover original pieces. All eras of the print are offered on her stand. It is possible to find works from the 18th century as well as pieces from the 21st century.

You will thus be able to discover the great Japanese masters of Ukiyo-e (Hiroshige, Hokusai, etc.) as well as many other artists, including the most contemporary. The Shin hanga and Sosaku hanga movements (revival of Japanese prints in the 20th century) are also well represented.

Expert approved by the CEFA (Compagnie d’Experts Français en Antiquités), specialist in modern and contemporary Japanese prints, Rozalia Rémy offers a contemporary and lively look to her showroom. Originally, Rozalia Rémy only offered prints, but in 2019, she decided to expand her offer by permanently presenting more than 200 vintage kokeshi, these traditional Japanese dolls, from the Tohoku region and created a website devoted to them: kokeshifamily.
