In 1987, Benoît Ramognino did not have his round hat screwed on his head but he was already exhibiting at the flea market inflatable furniture of the pop designer from the 60s and 70s, Quasar Khan! 30 years later, he devotes a book to him (published by Albin Michel).
It presents on its stand the exhibition “Saveurs d’Enfance”
by C. Bartalo, a series of decorative works created from original publications, books, magazines, original albums, vintage newspapers cut out then pasted and patiently arranged on linen canvases.
Each unique collage is accompanied by Caesar masks corresponding to the theme chosen for the backgrounds.
The end result of this mixture of techniques, materials and textures gives relief to old comic book albums and an ideal decorative environment for the vintage masks of the César house.
Each piece is unique.
The gallery owner also hunts for pieces signed by Verner Panton, Joe Colombo, Luigi Colani… As well as certain light and utopian architectures such as the Futuro house (housing module with the air of a flying saucer designed in 1968 by the Finnish architect Matti Suuronen) installed permanently in the heart of the Marché Dauphine.
Finally, Benoît is an expert in Pop Culture and 20th century design furniture with the CEFA ; which he is also its vice-president.
