trained in the school of Rafael Montesinos y Ramiro (1811-1877). This is probably a landscape painted from life, depicting El Albaicin, Granada, Andalusia. Gomar was portrayed by Joachim Sorolla, and some of his works are in the Prado Museum in Madrid. He died in 1911.
