The Futuro House
In the middle of the Marché Dauphine (Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen), an orange UFO landed nearly 10 years ago. It was in 2013 that the work of the Finnish architect and designer, Matti Suuronen, landed in the heart of the flea market.

It was in 1968 that the first Futuro House was designed, first intended for skiers, the Futuro House was presented as a holiday home measuring approximately 26″ wide by 13″ high, thus offering a living space of about 56m².
Made from fiberglass-reinforced polyester plastic, this house promised to be easily transportable and quick to heat up, however, it poorly convinced the public who was amotising the oil crisis from october 1973. Today it is found in the hands of collectors all over the world: United States, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and France.
At the heart of the Puces de Saint-Ouen, the Futuro House is the place to be, a place for meetings and events, it has hosted numerous festivals, exhibitions and even a pop-up bar.
